BuellsPort Naukluft Lodge & Farm is a beautiful family-run working horse, sheep and cow farm with big, well designed, rooms that have all amenities you could want on your trip through Namibia. The rooms all boast private bathrooms, great showers, and good air conditioning/heating possibilities. Strong Wi-Fi is available at the dining room, terrace, most rooms, and even at the swimming pool. The breakfast is offered buffet-style, and the dinner can be taken together with the other guests. Our dairy cows and vegetable garden supply many of the products for the meals. We take great pride in our contribution to sustainability, as shown by our 5 ‘flowers’ EcoAward, the highest score for lodge possible. Your hosts will be available for any questions you have about the farm or your stay in Namibia. We also have two different big campgrounds available, about 3 kilometers away from the farm.
We are a perfect stopover-place between Windhoek and Sossusvlei, but are also a great location to stay multiple days. There are 10 well-marked hiking trails with a variety of distances, where you can regularly spot animals such as kudu, oryx, baboons, springbok, Hartmann Zebra, or any of the hundreds of types of birds. Additionally, we offer different types of farm drives, where we can show you otherwise hidden places such as the massive Rock arch or the beautiful Moringa-tree valley. We also offer a spectacular 4x4 farm drive to a viewpoint with a 360-degree view of both the desert and the Naukluft mountains. This drive could then continue for another hour deeper into the mountains to the start of a hike to the refreshing natural spring waters of the ´Quivertree gorge´.
Last, but not least, BuellsPort offers some of the best horse riding possibilities in Namibia. With well-trained horses, which are almost all born and raised on the farm, the lesson and trail possibilities are endless for children, beginners, and experienced riders.
Windhoek is 230 km away and Sossusvlei is a 110 km away.
